Diffsight started as a simple idea: paste two versions of something and see exactly what changed, without uploading it anywhere. The editor has since grown language pages for JSON, YAML, SQL, XML, JavaScript, Python, PHP, HTML and CSS.
Today we are adding the explanations that go with them.
What is new
- Guides walk through one task at a time, such as comparing two JSON files or checking a YAML config change.
- Articles explain the ideas behind the tools, starting with how diff algorithms work.
- This blog is where we post updates and notes about what we are building.
Each guide is linked to the tool it is about, and each language page links back to its guides, so you can move from reading to doing in one click.
What stays the same
The comparison still runs in your browser and the text you paste is not uploaded. The tools remain free to use.
